Missy DiNunno was appointed VP of community engagement for Connecticut Public. DiNunno succeeds Lucy Nalpathanchil, who left the state network this year to become chief advancement officer for the Hartford Public Library. DiNunno most recently worked as executive director of the Children’s Museum Group in West Hartford. She has also been executive director of the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center and held several roles for the Shubert Theatre and the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts.

Angie Carr will be the next GM of Vegas PBS, a station licensed to the Clark County School District in Nevada. Carr became VP and chief impact officer for Nine PBS in St. Louis in 2020. She joined the station in 2015 as manager of special events and was promoted to director of community impact and shared experiences in 2019. Former Vegas PBS GM Mary Mazur announced in February that she would retire this year.

A new public TV station will launch over-the-air programming in northwest Florida next month. On Nov. 1, Emerald Coast PBS will broadcast a PBS channel and a 24/7 PBS Kids channel to Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties, which include the cities Destin and Pensacola. Its coverage area will also reach over state lines to serve Baldwin County and Mobile, Ala.

Fred Vigeant was named GM of WPSU in University Park, Pa. Vigeant starts the job Oct. 26. WHYY in Philadelphia completed its acquisition of WPSU Thursday. Vigeant most recently worked as VP and chief audience officer for WITF in Harrisburg, Pa., where he started in 2012 as director of programming and promotion for TV and radio.

The Public Media Bridge Fund announced a new grant program Tuesday targeting organizational sustainability. The Pathways to Sustainability program will provide funding for public media organizations that had previously been eligible for CPB funding as of Sept. 30, 2025. Organizations will be paired with coaches to determine sustainability strategies and create an action plan.
