As reported by The Game Post, the team behind the community project announced their latest updates via Discord server, saying, “After a long time of reverse engineering [and] server development, we just managed to play a match of Concord! The project is still WIP, it’s playable, but buggy.

Based solidly on the original 1988 movie, the Beetlejuice pin is chock-full of references to Tim Burton’s goofball classic. Michael Keaton’s prankster is front and center on the backglass, with images of Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Geena Davis, and Alec Baldwin as their movie characters arrayed around him. The playfield particularly riffs on the carnival scene from the movie, complete with Beetlejuice in his carousel hat as the primary focus of its artwork.

Those who own the game on PS4, Nintendo Switch, or the backwards compatible version on Xbox One will be able to upgrade digitally for free (sorry OGs who own it on Xbox 360 or PS3). Those who played the game on PS4 and the Switch will be able to carry over their save data. The game will be part of the GTA+ Games Library and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog when it re-releases next month.

As one can expect, the biggest hits from the independent sphere are well-represented across multiple categories, with Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 being nominated in several categories. Other notable titles such as Artis Impact—and the 2025 winner of the Seumas McNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival, Consume Me—are also making a splash with multiple nominations.

The Destiny sails from Fort Lauderdale with stops at Nassau and Castaway Cay—Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. It’s the third ship in the line’s Wish class, and will feel immediately familiar to you if you’ve ever been on the Wish or the Treasure. It has a similar layout, many of the same amenities, and a return of several of the dining and drinking concepts found on those earlier ships.

What if you could swing your sword—or whatever weapon, there are lots of different weapons in these games—at hundreds and hundreds of foes, except they were all tortured souls trying to keep your benefactor from regaining the throne of Hell? And what if your goal here was to descend deeper and deeper into the bowels of Hell to destroy the demons and monstrosities that had taken it over?

In March of 2025, the company laid off 17 staff members, and later in August it announced that it had laid off an undisclosed number of its staff. As of now, it is unclear exactly how many employees Crystal Dynamics still has from its previous 273 workers.

The move has further prompted speculation that the publisher may finally be nearing an acquisition of some kind. To put it bluntly, Ubisoft has not been doing well as of late. On top of numerous controversies at the company, including three of its former executives being found guilty of sexual assault and psychological harassment, and other cases of widespread employee abuse, the company’s poor sales performance has fueled rumors that it’s going to get bought by a big investor like Tencent.

Having to insert a disc to play an installed game isn’t new, but rarely are PS5 and Xbox Series games reliant on an internet connection, instead copying data from the disc. Indeed, it has been noteworthy when recent Xbox titles have been sold with blank discs that work just like Game Key Cards.

The Steam Frame also introduces an interesting new feature called “Foveated Streaming,” which will optimize detail based on where your eyeballs are looking. As Valve puts it, “Behind the scenes, we’re using low-latency eye tracking data to steer the best quality pixels only to where you’re looking. This is all happening without you noticing, and works for your entire Steam library.” If it functions as marketed, it’s admittedly a pretty cool concept.
