Gender Identity Disparities in Early Adolescent Sleep: Findings from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study
Are transgender early adolescents at increased risk of sleep disturbance and shorter sleep duration compared with cisgender peers? Transgender early adolescents demonstrated significantly higher rates of caregiver-reported sleep disturbance, insomnia symptoms, excessive daytime sleepiness, and short sleep duration compared with cisgender peers. The findings highlight important sleep disparities in transgender youth and support targeted screening and intervention efforts.
Voices of Leadership: Challenges Faced by Female Facial Plastic Surgeons and Considerations for Future Generations

The Use of Water Sac Dilation in Resecting Parapharyngeal Space Benign Tumor via Transoral Approach
Parapharyngeal space tumors are relatively infrequent, comprising around 0.5% of all head and neck tumors. Among them, approximately 80% are benign, and the primary treatment approach involves surgical resection. Due to the unique location of parapharyngeal space tumors and the intricate neighboring anatomical structures, however, surgical resection presents significant challenges.
Residency Factors Influencing Likelihood of Pursuing Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship

Residents training at children’s hospitals with affiliated pediatric otolaryngology fellowships were significantly more likely to pursue pediatric otolaryngology fellowship training. Programs in the Midwest were also independently associated with higher pediatric fellowship matriculation rates.
AI-Powered Real-Time Multimodal Model for Predicting Recurrence and Survival in Head and Neck Cancer: A Multicenter, Multinational Study
Can an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered longitudinal surveillance model accurately predict recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) after curative-intent surgery for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)? An AI-powered multimodal model integrating clinicopathologic and longitudinal laboratory data accurately predicted recurrence and survival outcomes across multiple post-operative time points in patients with HNSCC.
AI in the Diagnosis of Cholesteatoma: A Systematic Review of Current Evidence
How accurately can artificial intelligence (AI) models diagnose and stage cholesteatoma using CT and otoscopic imaging? AI-based models demonstrated high diagnostic accuracy for cholesteatoma detection and staging, particularly when using convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures and CT imaging. Although most studies showed excellent internal validation performance, limited external validation and predominantly retrospective designs currently restrict routine clinical implementation.
