When last we left our heroes, Sokka had teamed up with the massively-rewritten Professor Zei from Ba Sing Se University to locate the ancient Spirit Library, in which a map of the Fire Nation and information about how to defeat them might exist. Katara and Zuko, both in disguise, fought off Jet and his gang of thugs from beating up a bunch of innocent Fire Nation defectors.
Netflix’s Avatar The Last Airbender S2 Ep 4 Review – The Ails of Ba Sing Se
When we last left our heroes in Episode 3, “City of Walls and Secrets”, the story of the live action adaptation had begun to very fully divert from the source material in Ba Sing Se. I’ve been saying throughout this season that drastically altering from the original story isn’t inherently bad, and in fact it’d be interesting to see the same characters we know and love in new scenarios.
Netflix’s Avatar The Last Airbender S2 Ep 3 Review – There Is Some War Within The Walls
City of Walls and Secrets, the third episode of Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender is interestingly the only one of the seven episodes in this season that shares an episode title with its source material. In the original cartoon, this episode brings the Gaang into the Earth Kingdom capital of Ba Sing Se. The Impenetrable City is physically divided into three rings around the Palace, with the Lower Ring being a barely-livable slum.
Netflix’s Avatar The Last Airbender S2 Ep 2 Review – The Boulder Is Readyyy
Despite my great disappointment in Season 1 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko’s beloved animated show, the first episode of Season 2 was so shockingly different under the new showrunners Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani that it has made me hopeful that this version has a reason to exist. Episode 2, “A Fight Once Begun”, penned by Raisani, continues that trend, firmly beginning to diverge from the source material in interesting ways.
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender S2 Ep 1 Review – A Magnificent Improvement
As a mega fan of Nickelodeon’s Avatar: the Last Airbender, it is probably of no surprise that I was disappointed with the first season of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s show. I was there on day one as an 11-year-old, and since the show finished in 2008 my love for the universe has only grown. Rewatching the original show as an adult, all 30+ times, has been an eye-opening experience for me.
All Actors Confirmed To Feature In Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey
The Odyssey is one of the most iconic texts in Western literature and world history, with its structure being foundational in how writing in the Western world would evolve since its release in the eighth century BC. Christopher Nolan likes a challenge, so he will be adapting the original epic adventure for the big screen, and the cast is star-studded.
You Can Enjoy Both Superman And Fantastic Four | FlickLuster
Another year, another hype cycle for some hopefully good superhero movies, but online discourse always needs to complain about something... Yes, we've finally had a good look at both James Gunn's Superman and Matt Shakman's The Fantastic Four: First Steps, marking the introduction of Marvel's most iconic family to the MCU, and the Internet's first reaction was to begin comparing and complaining.
Deadpool & Wolverine Built A Six-Figure Wolverine Suit
Deadpool & Wolverine beckoned audiences back into the multiverse with more variants of our titular characters ever seen before – from Lady Deadpool and Dogpool to a Crucified Wolverine, Patch, and the Cavillrine (played by Henry Cavill).
Invincible Season 3 Release Date Confirmed By Prime Video
Invincible Season 3 has a release date and a teaser trailer. The animated superhero series, created by Robert Kirkman, based on the comic book series of the same name, is scheduled to return on Thursday 6th February 2025. In contrast to the second, Season 3 will not be split into two parts. Invincible Season 1 premiered in 2021, with audiences waiting two years for Season 2.
Pulp Fiction At 30: Samuel L. Jackson Recites Speech From Memory
Pulp Fiction marks its 30th anniversary, and to honour the occasion, Samuel L. Jackson has recreated his most iconic scene from the crime thriller, reciting the entire Bible passage from Ezekiel 25:17. In just 22 seconds, the 75-year-old actor performed the speech, and quite effortlessly: “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
