LIV Golf announced Tuesday that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection as part of a restructuring agreement with BC Partners that it hopes will keep the league alive in 2027 and beyond. According to LIV, the agreement, which was widely expected in the wake of the Saudi Public Investment Fund pulling its funding earlier this year, will make players majority owners of the league that it is planning to restart in early 2027.
