Green Leap Forward
Newsletter (Digital)
The Green Leap Forward is a slight play on the Great Leap Forward, which was a period in the history of the People’s Republic of China roughly between 1958 and 1962 when the Communist Leader Chairman Mao Zedong sought to radically and rapidly change China from a primarily agrarian society to a communist one. This was a part of Mao’s great utopian vision for a China with Communist Characteristics as it was often called and intended to rapidly develop both China’s agricultural sector and its industrial sector. To put it bluntly, the former mostly resembled extremely primitive agriculture with no mechanized farm equipment and the latter lacked the capability to make simple building materials such as steel or concrete.

The other pieces on Declare Emergency were getting too long. wrote in the comments to the last piece on Declare Emergency: Great question! Short answer: No idea. Last night’s post was super spicy. No doubt about that. Someone, let’s just say someone with a major environmental (Anti-Industry Industry) non-profit located in DC with an additional presence in Berkeley. One whose executives make well over six figures and one that took in a couple million in taxpayer grants. This is identifiable by the domain name on the woman’s email address. She replied to our inbox as opposed to hopping into the comments.

The News Room is supposed to be separate from the Editorial Board. This is ethical journalism 101. There’s not a shot in hell after all these years the Los Angeles Times on either the reporting or the editorial side are a credible source in anything either. They’ve endorsed degenerate hypocrites such as the Kircher of the North, promoted energy illiteracy, and smeared rural folks.

Part I here, and Part II here. Here’s another one of the same group, Declare Emergency, this time blocking traffic (and pedestrian crosswalk) in the middle of Washington DC.

Props to Will Allen-DuPraw with News2Share for uploading a better video than the one provided by the Washington Post. (In WaPoop’s defense, a clip this long is likely impossible to upload to Twitter anyways.) The whole thing is really worth a watch! The two vandals are apparently Timothy Martin and Joanna Oltman. Some highlights missing from the WaPoop video include the following. Because, oh boy, they are important.
