Coast Southwest Joins Coalition for Affordable Ingredients
Coast Southwest, Inc., an ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributor and manufacturer of chemical ingredients, has joined Coalition for Affordable Ingredients (CAI). The growing alliance of American manufacturers, farmers and downstream producers oppose trade petitions filed by Vantage Specialty Chemicals, an Illinois-based beef producer of beef tallow-derived oleochemicals. The petitions target vegetable-based fatty acid imports from Indonesia and Malaysia.
RIFM’s Holger Moustakas To Lecture at ACS Fall 2026
The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) will present new research at ACS Fall 2026 demonstrating how agglomerative hierarchical clustering (AHC) can be used to organize natural complex substances (NCS) into scientifically meaningful groups for non-animal safety assessment. ACS Fall 2026 will take place Aug. 23-27 at McCormick Place in Chicago and online.
Entries Open for PCHi Fountain Awards 2027
Nominations for the PCHi Fountain Awards 2027 are now open. The PCHi Fountain Awards recognizes outstanding innovation in personal care and cosmetic ingredient technologies. The awards will be presented at PCHi 2027, which will take place on Feb. 24–26, 2027 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Exhibiting companies are invited to submit their most innovative products for consideration.
HCPA Opens Application Process for Eighth Annual Innovation Awards
The Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has opened the Eighth Annual Innovation Awards. The winners of the awards will be recognized at HCPA’s Annual Meeting on Dec. 6-9 at the Marriott Harbor Beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The five category winners are determined by the Board of HCPA’s Sustainability & Product Stewardship Council (SPSC). While onsite at the meeting, conference attendees will vote to select the Association Award winner from among the five category winners.

Net Revenues Increase 1% for Coty in Q4 2026
Net revenues increased 1% for Coty in Q4 2026 to $1.26 billion for the three months ended June 30, 2026. Prestige net revenues of $771.8 million, representing 61% of the company’s total sales, increased 1% on a reported basis and included a 2% benefit from FX. On a LFL basis, prestige net revenues declined 0.5%, which included an estimated 1.5% headwind from the conflict in the Middle East.

Grupo Boticário Adds AI Technology To O Boticário Stores
Happi International Top 30 Company Grupo Boticário partnered with technology company Haut.AI for in-store technology and its scope is growing. Grupo Boticário has expanded Haut.AI’s technology from a 24-store pilot to approximately 4,000 O Boticário stores across Brazil. The expansion follows pilot results showing that the AI-powered skin-analysis experience increased average skincare order value by approximately 80%.
