This review contains spoilers for Snow Drowned by Jennifer D. Lyle A couple years ago, I read Snow Drowned by Jennifer D. Lyle when it was first published. My initial impression was that it was an addicting, twisted and gory novel. The premise of a 100-year-old snow storm and a secret cult on an island was quite hooking as a reader.

The College & Career Resource Center (CCRC) is currently working with seniors on its college applications and making sure they can meet the deadline for submissions on Nov. 1. According to CCRC advisor Harry Pettibone, the main thing that seniors are concerned with right now is the personal statement. “Writing the 650-word personal statement is a key component of college applications which is something we are helping seniors with,” Pettibone said.

The Zusammen German automotive gathering will take place on Oct. 10 at noon at the Motor District in Westfield. The event will showcase German automobiles, ranging from classic vehicles to modern performance cars, with a goal to bring together automobile enthusiasts. According to Artmobilia, the gathering will feature vehicles from manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Porsche, along with live music, lunch and tours of select private garages.

While the crime itself is unimaginably awful, something could have been done to help this girl. However, when 57 men were informed of what was occurring, a grand total of zero people came to her aid. In the fall of 2024, a Cornell student, identified as “Jane Doe” for privacy, was at a party where she became heavily intoxicated, according to USA Today.

The Student Organ Donation Advocates club (SODA), led by president and junior Shravya Pillutla, has started its preparations for its upcoming Walk to Save Lives event on Saturday, Oct. 10. Pillutla said the club plans to make bracelets for organ recipients and organ donors. “We have the Walk to Save Lives on Saturday, where we are giving out these bracelets that we’re making to the organ recipients and organ donors,” Pillutla said.

The recent phone ban has changed the way Pinnacle members are able to get work done for the yearbook. “The technology has been very challenging this year,” said Pinnacle advisor Claire Burke. “I will not sugarcoat it.” Burke said she bought ten voice recorders personally so the yearbook staff could get to work right as the year started. “At the end of last year we figured out what we needed,” she said.

For someone who reads over 50 books a year, buying books just isn’t an option. So when owning a book is too expensive, going to the library is my favorite alternative. They have almost every book I could ever want and it’s super accessible. There’s only one issue though; people don’t know how to respect deadlines. This summer, I desperately wanted to read Queen of Shadows, the fifth book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.
