The recent phone ban has changed the way Pinnacle members are able to get work done for the yearbook. “The technology has been very challenging this year,” said Pinnacle advisor Claire Burke. “I will not sugarcoat it.” Burke said she bought ten voice recorders personally so the yearbook staff could get to work right as the year started. “At the end of last year we figured out what we needed,” she said.

For junior Amelia Arterburn, space exploration holds a certain intrigue. She took the astronomy class this school offers because of her interest in the night sky and the space beyond. “When I was younger, I loved looking at the stars,” Arterburn said. “I didn’t really know much about it, and then I got to learn more, and I’ve seen that we’ve been able to put a lot more stuff (out in space).” She said there can sometimes be a bad connotation associated with space exploration.

Yearbook members will distribute yearbooks May 11-14. “We’ll do lunch every day, during SSRT on Gold Days, and then after school on Tuesday and Wednesday,” Pinnacle adviser Claire Burke said. Burke also said they finalized the spring supplement to the yearbook. “(The spring supplement is) any of those spring events that we can’t cover in the actual book, so spring sports and topics like preparing for prom and Dance Marathon,” she said.
