Delmarva's Dog-Friendly Beaches: Fun for You and Your Dog
A vacation to the Delaware beaches this summer can be fun and relaxing for both you and your canine companion. Plenty of ocean and bay beaches allow furry friends to join you. Who Rests Here: Remembering the Howard Family
This spring, I set out to complete Historic Congressional Cemetery's African-American History tour, a project that ultimately took me several weeks of wandering the cemetery's paths and reading its monuments. During one of my visits, I stopped at the Howard Family headstone, located by the family vaults. I was looking closely at the headstone, trying to understand who was interred there. The tour pamphlet notes that three generations of the Howard family are interred in that family plot.
