College Students and High School Graduates Can Apply for an Internship, Dairy Farms Can Apply to Host an Intern Undergraduate students and high school graduates are encouraged to apply for two 2027 internship opportunities. Applications are now being accepted for On-Farm Internships and a Dairy Education and Communications Internship next summer. Dairy farms can also now apply to host on-farm interns during the summer of 2027.

Retaliatory tariffs with Canada have been ping-ponging, and most recently the volley was served by President Trump, who signed an executive order on Sept. 7 that banned the imports of whey protein concentrate with less than 34% protein, and modified whey, fluid whey, and dried whey. The order also raised the tariff on various cheese products to 50%. As of press time, Canada has yet to respond. The raise in tariffs goes into effect on Sept. 15, while the ban will take effect on Sept. 29.
