The Ithaca Times was preceded by the Ithaca New Times (1972-78) and The Good Times Gazette (1973-78), It has been owned since that time by Jim Bilinski who served as publisher from 1978-2025. The Ithaca Times is published each Wednesday and is available for free at nearly 100 newsstand locations throughout Tompkins, Seneca and Tioga counties. Our family of weekly subscription papers includes The Finger Lakes Community Newspapers publishes each Wednesday the Ovid Gazette, the Interlaken Review, the Tompkins Independent (serving Dryden, Groton and Lansing), the Trumansburg Free Press and the News Chronicle (serving Newfield, Spencer and Candor).
