Holland America Line has opened its 2027-2028 Caribbean cruise season with a range of itineraries designed to give guests more ways to explore the region — from quick five- and six-day getaways to longer voyages that spend more time in port than any other cruise line sailing the Caribbean. Nearly every itinerary includes a call at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, the line’s award-winning private island.

EasyJet has agreed, in principle, to a £5.5bn takeover approach; led by two Irish aviation heavyweights – the latest buyout proposal by US investment firm Castlelake. Castlelake has been circling EasyJet for weeks and now seems to have reached success with a £6.90 per share proposal, valuing the UK low fares carrier at £5.5bn. The revised price is a significant step-up from Castlelake’s initial £4.93bn proposal in June.

Zipit Donadea, a new forest adventure park in Co. Kildare, has been officially opened by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon TD. The project was awarded €1.2 million in funding through Fáilte Ireland’s Regenerative Tourism and Placemaking Scheme, which is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union under the EU Just Transition Fund. Zipit Forest Adventures invested a further €300,000 in the development.
