A new venue has been found for Aston Villa fans hoping to watch the UEFA Europa League Final in Birmingham next week after a double stabbing meant the previous venue lost its licence. The Aston Villa UEFA Europa League Final fan park was due to be held at Luna Springs, but the Digbeth nightclub has had its licence suspended for 28 days after an attack last weekend.

A manhunt is underway in Stafford after a man in his 60s was found on a bench near the town centre in critical condition after being stabbed. Staffordshire Police were called at 7pm last night (May 15) to Newport Road, close to the Castle Golf and Leisure following reports of violence. The man in hospital had been walking in the Castlefields area from Redgrave Drive towards Stafford Castle when he was approached by an unknown man and assaulted, according to police.

The mother of triple killer Valdo Calocane told police she could not believe her son was a "delinquent" when he was first arrested, years before the Nottingham Attacks. Celeste Calocane told a public inquiry she wanted her son to be treated in hospital for his mental health as early as May 2020.

Calocane also told his brother Elias he was "thinking about red rum", which is murder spelt backwards. But Elias told the Nottingham Attacks Inquiry his brother was a "calm and peaceful" person.

A 26-year-old man has died after a car mounted a kerb and struck a group of people, including two footballers. Five pedestrians were hit by a red Vauxhall Astra in Arnold, Nottinghamshire in the early hours of Saturday, 9 May. It happened in Market Place. One of the pedestrians, who can now be named as Tyler Fairman, was left with life-threatening injuries. He died on Tuesday night. A murder investigation is now underway.

A man who spent years pretending to be severely disabled to avoid justice after being charged with 15 child sex offences against three boys, has been jailed for 15 years. John Siddell, 41, was accused of sexual assaults against the boys aged between four and 14. He pretended to be non-verbal, incapacitated and needing a wheelchair, while his brother James Siddell lied to police about the severity of John's health conditions.

Ray Nock has been selected as Reform UK leader on Sandwell Council.The party has a majority meaning Nock will be elected leader of the council at the next full council meeting. Labour had controlled the authority since 1979. Reform UK took 41 seats out of a possible 72. Speaking after Reform's victory in Sandwell, Nock said "I want to turn the ship.
