The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (JACI) is an open access,[1] medical journal in the field of allergy and immunology. It is one of two official journals of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. The journal was established in 1929 as the Journal of Allergy and obtained its current name in 1971. The name change was purportedly related to a change in the attitude among physicians about the breadth of applicability of the term "allergy". The journal has been published under the Mosby imprint since its inception. The current publication is released monthly, while the predecessor publication was released every two months. Source

Cohort-driven variant burden analysis and pathogenicity identification in monogenic autoinflammatory disorders
Background Nearly 50 pathogenic genes and hundreds of pathogenic variants have been identified in monogenic autoinflammatory diseases (AIDs). Nonetheless, there are still many genes for which the pathogenic mechanisms are poorly understood, and the pathogenicity of many candidate variants needs to be determined. Objective Monogenic AIDs are a group of rare genetic diseases characterized by inflammation as the phenotype.
Eosinophils promote effector functions of lung ILC2s in allergic airway inflammation in mice
Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are critical mediators of type 2 respiratory inflammation; releasing IL-5 and IL-13 and promoting the pulmonary eosinophilia associated with allergen provocation. Although ILC2s have been shown to promote eosinophil activities, the role of eosinophils in ILC2 responses is less well defined. We sought to investigate the role of eosinophils in activation of ILC2s in models of allergic asthma and in vitro.

Surprisingly, IgE cross-reactivity between the major peanut allergens Ara h 1, 2 and 3 has been reported despite very low sequence identities. To investigate the unexpected cross-reactivity between peanut major allergens. Cross-contamination of purified natural Ara h 1, 2, 3 and 6 was assessed by SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, LC-MS/MS and sandwich ELISA.
