The UNC football program kicked off its 100th season at Kenan Stadium in style, defeating East Tennessee State 35-3 on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill. Bill Belichick's team did exactly what it was supposed to do against an FCS opponent. The Tar Heels put points on the board, continued their stellar defensive play, and put the game out of reach before a lightning delay halted the game for nearly an hour and 20 minutes.

Newly hired head coach Michael Malone has said from day one that his goal is to bring the "Carolina Family" feel back to Chapel Hill. This score marks the first at Kenan Stadium this season, kicking off the 100th season of the historic venue in style.

At this stage in the recruiting process for the Class of 2027, most senior high school standouts already have an idea of a handful of programs that make the most sense for them when they take their talents to the collegiate level. Most recruits are already narrowing down their recruitment at this point, focusing on those schools that have been heavily involved throughout the process.

When Adan Diggs decided to reclassify to the Class of 2027, Michael Malone and the Tar Heels wasted no time jumping into his recruitment. Regardless of his graduating class, Diggs is likely a top-10 overall recruit among high school qualifiers. Even after he made the jump to join this year's graduating class, Diggs is still regarded as the No. 1-ranked shooting guard this cycle has to offer, and now, his recruitment has started to heat up.
