The suspension comes after years of community pressure namely from Stop LAPD Spying Coalition. On July 11, the Los Angeles Police Department announced that it was suspending its contract with Flock Safety, citing concerns over privacy and data usage. The decision follows years of organizing and advocacy from community groups with Stop LAPD Spying Coalition leading the fight.
