I saw some posts on social media recently from peeps begging Walmart to go back to being open 24 hours a day. That's doubtful but they're not the only business I wish would go 24/7. Walmart used to be open 24 hours a day and, I must say, it was great. Back when I worked the evening shift, 7p - 12a, I wouldn't leave the station until 2am or so and I never minded shopping at that hour because I usually had the whole store to myself.

(East Texas) Weekends in East Texas are always filled with fun events. This weekend, you can learn about horse rescues, shop Christmas in July, see a car show, plan a full wedding, support local farmers, and much more. This is also the final weekend of the FIFA World Cup tournament. Stadiums throughout the US and Mexico have been hosting countless numbers of soccer fans from around the world. It's kind of a funny name but "La Tune" is the real name of a real, federal prison that has stood in the upper valley, near Anthony, for almost a century. The feds are shutting down a number of prisons across the USA and La Tuna, in Anthony, west of El Paso, will be one of them. Originally opened in 1932 as a "self sustaining, agricultural" federal prison, La Tuna will be closed due to, (mostly) maintenance and staffing issues.

It's not often you find a tree that can call itself "legend". Album Park in east El Paso had one though until a recent thunderstorm took it out after decades of shading the park.
