The Linux Foundation is a nonprofit consortium dedicated to fostering the growth of Linux and collaborative software development. Founded in 2000, the organization sponsors the work of Linux creator Linus Torvalds and promotes, protects and advances the Linux operating system and collaborative software development by marshaling the resources of its members and the open source community. The Linux Foundation provides a neutral forum for collaboration and education by hosting Collaborative Projects, Linux conferences including LinuxCon, and generating original research and content that advances the understanding of Linux and collaborative software development. Scholarships & Travel Funding
The Linux Foundation’s Registration Scholarship program exists to support individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend Linux Foundation events in two categories: Applicants must be from a traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized group in the technology and/or open source communities who are unable to attend without some financial assistance. Including, but not limited to: persons identifying as LGBTQIA+, women, persons of color, and/or persons with disabilities.

Measuring OSPO Value
Communicating the impact of an Open Source Program Office (OSPO) has historically been a challenge. In this report, Ibrahim Haddad shares a new framework to more easily demonstrate the value of the OSPO. This framework moves beyond standard activity metrics to define OSPO impact through four key dimensions: ROI and cost avoidance, resilience, risk foresight, and strategic influence.
