PRICHARD, Ala. (NBC 15) — Mayor Carletta Davis wants to rebuild the Prichard Police Department and is looking for a new face to lead it after former Chief Walter Knight was arrested in connection with alleged widespread corruption. Since federal and state agencies raided the agency in June, five officers have been arrested. Davis says Prichard cannot recreate the police force it had before. “We are not going to rebuild by simply recreating the system that we had before,” said Davis.
