Bordeaux is definitely one of the world’s largest and most famous fine-wine regions. There are more than 5,000 wine-producing estates across the region, which is split by the Gironde Estuary, Garonne River, and Dordogne River into two distinct geographic zones, the Left Bank and the Right Bank. Both have different dominant grape varieties, soil types and wine characteristics. Cos d’Estournel is one of the Left Bank’s most recognisable addresses.

The Musée Condé at the Château de Chantilly is currently hosting a rare convergence of history and science with “The Pink Diamond,” an exhibition running from 17 October 2026 to 3 January 2027. In a partnership with L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, and supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, the museum presents the story of the “Grand Condé,” a historic gemstone weighing over 9 carats.
The Vacheron Constantin Concours d’Élégance Horlogère selection
Following the announcement of the competition in early 2026 – please see it here – a total of more than 550 entries were submitted by their owners, comprising pocket watches and wristwatches created in the Maison’s workshops between 1755 and 1999.
Milano Watch Week 2026
For the 2026 edition, Milano Watch Week moves to Palazzo Mezzanotte, in Piazza Affari, the historic home of the Italian Stock Exchange. In front of the building stands Maurizio Cattelan’s famous LOVE (stands for Libertà, Odio, Vendetta, Eternità – Freedom, Hatred, Revenge, Eternity) sculpture, known as “The Finger,” a symbol of the city’s bold and unmistakable character.
Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition Milan
Patek Philippe has inaugurated its seventh WATCH ART Grand Exhibition in Milan from October 2nd to 18th, 2026, marking the largest exhibition the manufacture has ever organised. The event takes place at CityOval (formerly Palazzo delle Scintille) in Milan’s CityLife quarter, occupying more than 2,900 square meters.

The buzz around Geneva Watch Days gives even smaller watchmaking names the opportunity to occupy spaces throughout the city. This September the new collection from the Parisian brand Buci was on display at the Watchmakers United boutique in the Old Town near the lake. We had known the brand from a distance since Garde-temps, the first collection released in 2022, and from the collaboration with seconde/seconde and Revolution Watch Arabia that followed.

H. Moser & Cie. has long cultivated a reputation for quiet (or sometimes not so quiet) provocation. From simplifying the perpetual calendar to reinventing the chronograph’s visual language, the Schaffhausen-based Manufacture consistently chooses subtraction over addition. The Streamliner Off-Grid, announced on September 21, 2026, continues this trajectory by entering the digital watch arena as an alternative proposition to smartwatches.
“Watchmaker of Shapes, Master of Crafts”
Cartier opens the “Watchmaker of Shapes, Master of Crafts” exhibition to the public on 7 October, 2026 in their second largest boutique in Europe, the flagship showroom located at 35 Rue du Rhône in Geneva, Switzerland. The exhibition explores Cartier’s enduring artistic vision through a selection of heritage timepieces from the Cartier Collection and celebrates the Cartier Privé collection.

The early autumn morning sun at the Geneva Watch Days has a particular quality. Already low and angled, the kind that turns crystals into lenses and makes every surface either glow or shadow. It was in that light that MB&F showed us the SP One Pavée, ahead of its September release. The intricate watch movement swims in the reflected light of diamonds occupying the previously brushed metal angled inner flange.

1–30.09. 2026, San Giorgio Maggiore Island, Venice One of my all time favourite art events is the Homo Faber Biennial in Venice, by the Michelangelo Foundation. The city, the venue, the selection and the atmosphere of the event celebrate human craftsmanship, which we desperately need nowadays. The fourth edition of the Homo Faber arrives under the visionary direction of British artist and designer Es Devlin.
