State issues air quality alerts for Sunday, Monday

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) issued the alerts for July 19 and July 20 for elevated levels of fine particulate due to wildfire smoke from Canada and Minnesota. Levels will range from Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) for Sunday in the Lower Peninsula to Unhealthy across the Upper Peninsula.
