Former Kingston resident convicted of Negligent Homocide
A former Kingston resident charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter was sentenced earlier this month on reduced misdemeanor convictions after being found guilty by a jury on the lesser charges. In May, a jury found 24-year-old Bailey Joe Greenlee, who now is a resident of Hobbs, N.M., guilty of two counts of misdemeanor negligent homicide for the Nov. 4, 2022, crash that killed Melva Love, 73, and Kaylei M.

MCSO looking for answers in rooster death
A familiar feathered face known to countless campers, anglers and visitors around Lake Texoma is gone, leaving many in the community heartbroken. Rusty, the well-known rooster who had become an unofficial mascot for a portion of the Lake Texoma shoreline, was reportedly killed sometime over the busy Fourth of July holiday weekend. The Marshall County Sheriff's Office has opened an investigation into the incident.
