A Texas man is facing charges after an incident on the Willis Bridge. On March 3, early in the morning, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a man who was possibly intoxicated. The responding party told dispatch that the man, later identified as Jeremy Reed, was walking and acting strange on the Willis Bridge. Officers responded to the bridge and what they found was definitely a strange sight.

The Marshall County Fair is right around the corner. The MC Fair is the event of the season with something for everyone. The event will be held September 4 through September 6 at the Marshall County Expo Center. On September 4, entry time is from 7:30 a.m. till noon. All inside exhibits must be entered, including specialty events such as Decorated Wreath, Themed Cookie Jar and Hat contests.

Body The Town of Kingston began an initiative to reassess the stop signs in the town. Vice Mayor Jacob Stafford said that when he and John Garrison were elected to the Kingston Board of Trustees, the first issue on their list was a long-standing concern about traffic safety and speeding in the community.
