WASHINGTON — A drug manufacturer has issued a recall for three lots of its epinephrine injection multidose vials. American Regent issued the nationwide voluntary recall Thursday, Sept. 3, after it received customer complaints that vials were cracked and leaking, which posed a risk for sterility assurance. Testing of the product also showed the presence of particulate matter, including nylon, cellulosic, acrylic, polyethylene and glass.

ODESSA, Texas — Odessa Fire Rescue is once again mourning the tragic loss of one of their own. The Yard Foundation says Eric Handlin has passed away following an incident in August in which he was found unconscious but breathing. According to the foundation, which is a charitable organization that supports firefighters and their families, Handlin "suffered a serious head injury" sometime during the night of Aug. 21.

Experts believe drought conditions are driving the animals closer to populated areas. Colorado Parks and Wildlife said officers responded Thursday to a report of a bear attack in Steamboat Springs. The adult victim was napping in a backyard patio chair that afternoon when they noticed a bear approaching.

WASHINGTON — Diesel fuel prices set a new record high Saturday for a second day in a row. The national retail average for a gallon of diesel reached $5.8819 Saturday, according to AAA's daily fuel prices report. That's up from $5.85 on Friday. Friday's per-gallon price broke the previous record of $5.82 per gallon set in June 2022. The average cost of a gallon of diesel one week ago was $5.6046, which is a roughly 28-cent jump in just seven days.
