The privately owned company was founded by Bill France Sr. in 1948, and his son, Jim France, has been the CEO since August 6, 2018. The company is headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida. Each year, NASCAR sanctions over 1,500 races at over 100 tracks in 48 US states as well as in Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Source

DARLINGTON, S.C. – A rare off night for Justin Allgaier in The Chase presented by Mobil 1 tightened the race for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship as the postseason opened Saturday with the Fleetio 200 at Darlington Raceway. Allgaier started on the front row and won the first stage, but his car handled poorly over the final third of the race, and he fell through the field on a steady backpedal, finishing 17th on a night when Sheldon Creed easily won the race.
