KOAN seems to be as much a story about belonging as it is about food. You grew up Danish while carrying a Korean heritage that you later chose to explore more deeply. Has cooking helped you find an answer to the question of where you belong, or has it made that question even more complex? Yes, for sure. Koan is a personal story through food. It helped me find peace, and a better understanding of myself and my journey.

coat VINTAGE Your documentary Tempo para Amar (Time to Love) opens the door to one of  the most vulnerable chapters of your life, from pregnancy and motherhood to  addressing episodes that became the subject of misinformation online. What  gave you the confidence to share that part of your story? The purpose of embracing other mothers and being embraced by other women who  were going through pregnancy, and who experienced a kind of catharsis, was very  important to me.

What qualities were you looking for in the young actors beyond their singing and performing abilities? I wanted to see them as themselves. That natural star power that only comes from being your authentic self. I didn’t want to see who they thought I wanted them to be. I am sold more on an actor from my conversation with them during an audition than I am watching them perform dialogue from the movie. Two perfect examples of this were Hudson Stone and Casey Trotter.

Average Joe just returned for a second season. What can audiences expect this time around, and what continues to excite you about the series? In season 2, the audience can expect the dynamics on every level to be raised. The action is bigger, the location is vastly bigger and broader, the relationships intensify, and the stakes are higher.

At the heart of CAPVIN is its airy Neapolitan dough, Italian ingredients and traditional recipes, with pizzaioli from Naples bringing the city’s flavours to Berlin. Alongside the signature CAPVIN pizza, the new menu introduces a more traditional style based on a family recipe from Neapolitan pizzaiolo Vincenzo Capuano. The familiar gold scissors remain, with pizzas cut tableside as part of the ritual. Capuano is central to the story.

Founded in April 2022 by Austrian-Chilean couple Judith Lergetporer and Diego Briones, Z’SOM celebrates love, flavour, and the cultures that brought them together. After 20 years exploring the world, they settled down in Vienna, introducing a place that brings together Latin American heritage, contemporary technique and warm hospitality.

Without giving away spoilers, what can fans look forward to from Wheezie in this final season? You will see a Wheezie that remains true to herself and family members, or at least the family members who deserve her love. She is the youngest and often underestimated, but perhaps “not so much” in this final season. You’ve recently been part of several exciting projects. How do you decide what roles to take on next?

photography by NEMO HINDERS Kira Krash marks your debut album. What does this project represent for you creatively compared to Haunted Disc? I’ve had the idea of Kira Krash since around 2019, but my relationship with her has changed a lot since then. At first, she was something I wanted. Later, I wanted to escape her. Now, I’m living with her as a part of my life. I would say she symbolizes my shadow self. It’s been really interesting to have her in my mind throughout this project.

Looking back, what does Kimiko mean to you today? Kimiko is near and dear to my heart, and I think she always will be. She was such an incredible character, with so much growth and depth, and playing her was the first time I had the opportunity to build a character year after year and really grow alongside her.

Perhaps the hotel’s most appealing expression of modern hospitality is The Residence, a private members’ club-style world reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Hidden away from the energy of the public spaces, it offers a series of rooms in which to work, relax, drink or simply disappear for a while. The Drawing Room and Y Bar provide intimate dining and cocktails, while a secret passage leads to The Whisky Room, an atmospheric 14-seat space dedicated to rare and intriguing whiskies.
