US accuses Rwanda of violating DRC peace agreement
The United States government has accused Rwanda of violating the Washington Accord, a peace agreement aimed at ending the decades-long conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The accord, signed in Washington, DC last year, seeks to de-escalate tensions by requiring the withdrawal of Rwandan troops from eastern DRC and the cessation of support to armed groups, while also addressing Kinshasa’s obligation to neutralise the FDLR militia.
Celebrating Nakivubo Stadium’s centenary
This is the second and final part I am writing in honour of the silent celebrations marking Nakivubo Stadium’s centenary anniversary. The first part covered mostly the events which happened from its official opening (April 1, 1926), up to the 1950s. As you read on, you will realize that this part takes you from the 1960s to this day. UGLY SCENES AT NAKIVUBO STADIUM To begin with, on Saturday October 15, 1960, the Gossage Cup was played in Uganda at Nakivubo Stadium.
Not the toxic fandoms again!
Fandoms are the one subject we have probably dissected to death. We agreed in the past that fandoms bring unrivaled joy to the soul. They create an avenue for us to share our passions with like-minded people. At the same time, fandoms are more trouble than they are worth, nurturing pointless arguments that inevitably poison your love for your favourite franchise. In fact, I have argued on more than one occasion that abandoning a toxic fandom is better than tolerating the infighting it attracts.

After 26 reviews, The Magic Faraway Tree has a 96 per cent critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Celebrities must return to the shadows
We love Milly Alcock. The 25-year-old actress was so magnetic as a young Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon that some viewers wanted to abandon the show after Emma D’Arcy replaced her. No one batted an eye when James Gunn announced that she would play Kara Zor-El in Supergirl (2026). If anything, they celebrated because they had not seen her in so long. And then it happened. The same thing that always happens. Alcock started throwing accusations of misogyny around.
