The O'Colly, formerly The Daily O'Collegian, is the student-run newspaper at Oklahoma State University. The O'Colly is published three times a week and distributed at cost to OSU students at various points around the campus in Stillwater. The newspaper has been in distribution since May 1895. The O'Colly is ranked as one of the top college newspapers in the country, earning several honors throughout its history and has a circulation of more than 10,000. Source

Judge orders evidentiary hearing in Butler case over victims’ rights challenge
A Payne County judge has scheduled an evidentiary hearing in the case of Jesse Butler after victims filed a motion alleging their constitutional rights were violated during court proceedings. During a scheduling hearing Tuesday, District Judge Michael Kulling found there were significant factual disputes between attorneys representing the state, the defense and the victims regarding how the case was handled. Because of those disputes, Kulling ordered an evidentiary hearing beginning April 13.
How homegrown sharpshooter Ellie Brueggemann's journey led her to OSU
When Jacie Hoyt was coaching at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she recruited a sharpshooter from Owasso. Ellie Brueggemann. However, Brueggemann elected to go to Lindenwood and turned into a star player in three seasons with the Lions, allowing her to return to her home state and finish her college career at OSU. “I’m coming home!” Brueggemann said in an Instagram post announcing her commitment to OSU.

On this Day - Mount St. Helens ends yearlong slumber; eruption blasts ash 25,000 feet skyward
VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Mount St. Helens erupted Wednesday afternoon for the first time in almost a year, spewing ash to 25,000 feet, the Federal Aviation Administration reported. FAA duty officer Dick Ferguson in Seattle said details were sketchy, but ash from the 5:20 p.m. eruption apparently was headed east-northeast at 25 knots. Mount St. Helens awoke for the first time this century in March 1980.

Cowboys power past Sooners in rain-shortened 7-3 Bedlam win
TULSA — Oklahoma State entered Tuesday night as one of the best teams in the country in home runs. OSU showcased its hot bats once again, hitting four home runs in a 7-3 win in eight innings at ONEOK Field due to weather. The two teams met at the beginning of the season during opening weekend on Feb. 14 at the Shriners Children's College Showdown in Arlington, Texas, where the Sooners clobbered the Cowboys, 10-1. This time, OSU (23-14) got the best of OU (24-12) in the rematch.
OSU lands Sam Houston transfer Kashie Natt
Steve Lutz made it clear after the final game of the season that improving the defense would be an emphasis for the Cowboys. The first move in that direction is Oklahoma State landing reigning Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year Kashie Natt, who committed to the Cowboys on Tuesday, according to The Field of 68. In his lone season at Sam Houston, Natt averaged two steals per game with 61 total, which led the CUSA.
Campbell Smithwick highlights OSU's 7-3 win over OU
TULSA — In a high-stakes game for Oklahoma State, Campbell Smithwick contributed heavily for the Cowboys in a 7-3, rain-shortened win over Oklahoma at ONEOK Field on Tuesday. Smithwick’s three-hit, two-home run performance powered OSU to a key win in the 352nd edition of Bedlam Baseball. His impact on both sides of the ball proved decisive in the in-state rivalry showdown.
