An Abington man is facing attempted murder charges after authorities say he ran over a 24-year-old man who he accused of stealing his bike. Phillip Prince, 40, was awaiting arraignment as of the afternoon of July 13 for attempted murder, aggravated assault by vehicle and related charges in the July 12 incident which has left a man hospitalized in critical condition.

Marine mammals trapped at a shuttered theme park in Canada are set to be transported to wildlife aquatic facilities in the United States, pending clearance from Canadian veterinarians. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has "authorized an emergency rescue" for the remaining whales at Marineland, a once-popular theme park near Niagara Falls in Canada that closed in 2024, according to a statement issued by a group of aquariums part of the mission.

The two candidates vying for the U.S. Senate seat in Texas are making stops across the Lone Star State this week. Democrat James Talarico and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will head to South Texas as the two go head-to-head in the Nov. 3 General Election to replace U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. Cornyn lost his reelection bid to Paxton in the Republican Primary Election.
