Dwyane Wade has always dressed like someone who was going somewhere important after the game. The custom suits. The experimental silhouettes. The runway appearances. The outfits that became the story the morning after a playoff game. He was not doing it for attention. He was doing it because fashion is how he thinks. Today, Revolve Group made it official.
Renee Montgomery Is Covering the WNBA Finals. She Also Owns One of the Teams in It
Renee Montgomery is a part-owner of the Atlanta Dream and a studio analyst for USA Network’s WNBA Finals coverage, the series in which her own team is playing against the Golden State Valkyries. She told Front Office Sports that none of her three employers, USA Network, CBS, or TNT Sports, have ever given her guidelines about discussing the team she co-owns or the league at large. A USA Network source confirmed to FOS that no restrictions are in place for the Finals.
Mike Trout Didn’t Step Away From Baseball to Rest. He Built a Company
Mike Trout has spent the better part of the last few years dealing with injuries. What he’s also been doing — quietly, since 2024 — is building something. On October 12, Trout announced Gen One Collect, a sports collectibles company focused on live card breaks, original content, and athlete-connected experiences. He co-founded it with Eric Mandelkern, a fellow Bowman enthusiast who is serving as CEO.
The NBA’s Best Player Just Bought Into One of Europe’s Biggest Clubs
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is 28 years old, a back-to-back NBA MVP, and an NBA champion. He has a $285 million extension keeping him in Oklahoma City through 2031. This week, he added something to that résumé no Thunder player has ever had: a stake in Atlético Madrid. The Spanish club announced Friday that SGA has joined its ownership group. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Rose Zhang Is 23 Years Old and Already Investing in the Future of Women’s Golf
Rose Zhang is investing in a golf league, building a brand partnership with AT&T, practicing at SoFi Center, and competing in the debut season of the Women’s TGL — all while finishing out her LPGA schedule. She turned professional in May 2023. She won her first professional tournament on her first start. She became the first woman in NCAA history to win back-to-back individual national championships at Stanford. Now she is doing something most athletes twice her age haven’t figured out yet.
Darius Garland Sent $100K Home. Now He’s Ready to Lead
Darius Garland donated $100,000 through his family foundation to the Greater Gary Storm Recovery and Relief Fund this summer, as his hometown of Gary, Indiana, dug out from a devastating August storm. Several of his family members and friends still live there. Garland, 26, is entering his eighth NBA season as the Los Angeles Clippers’ highest-paid player at $42 million, and this is the year the franchise needs him to be something he’s rarely had to be: the guy who talks.
Caitlin Clark’s Signature Shoe Just Became The Biggest Launch In Women’s History
Nike launched the Caitlin Clark 1 on October 1, 2026, and called it the largest women’s signature shoe launch in the company’s history. It’s Clark’s first signature shoe ever. Her Indiana Fever team had already been eliminated in the first round of the WNBA playoffs by then, which meant Clark spent October doing something she’s never had to balance against a playoff run: selling a shoe with her own name on it, full time. Clark’s business and her basketball schedule finally lined up.
Health Is Wealth: Dr. Myron Rolle Is Changing How Athletes Talk About Health
Athletes are trained to play through it. Dr. Myron Rolle built a show about what happens when they stop. Health Is Wealth is a PlayersTV Original Series hosted by Rolle, a former NFL safety, Rhodes Scholar and neurosurgeon. Each episode sits a star athlete across from someone who knows the locker room and the operating room. The result is a conversation most athletes have never had on camera. It is about the body, the mind and the cost of greatness. It is also about what comes after.
Fernando Mendoza Got Mocked For Sounding Like ChatGPT. Now He’s Cashing In On It
Fernando Mendoza posted a new commercial Friday announcing his partnership with ChatGPT, turning a joke that followed him through college football into an actual paycheck. The Raiders’ No. 1 overall pick shared the ad on social media, tagging it with a hashtag identifying him as an OpenAI partner. The comparisons started before Mendoza ever threw a pass in the NFL. He was well aware of them long before he joined the Raiders.
Donovan Mitchell Is Going for 10. Adidas Just Made It Official
Most athletes who sign with a shoe brand in their rookie year spend their career hoping the relationship holds. Donovan Mitchell has been with Adidas since signing a multi-year deal on July 11, 2017 — before his first NBA game — and has never played a professional minute in anything else. On October 1, that loyalty got its largest reward yet.
