Confessions II
Album Review Confessions II arrives not as a continuation but yet another reinvention of the Madonna project, especially from her work over the last two decades. A spiritual successor to her 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, Madonna’s latest swerves away from her recent string of releases both in tone and critical reception. Returning to her original record label, Madonna’s clearly taken back the reins of her creative writing process (9 of the 16 songs contain solo writing credits).

CinemaWins
YouTube Channel Review A few years ago, we covered a YouTube channel called CinemaSins, which focuses its efforts on pointing out plot holes, nonsensical moments and mistakes in movies. The channel creator, Jeremy Scott, calls such thing “sins.” Well, fellow YouTuber Lee Boucher must have seen some of those videos and thought, “this could use a little more positivity.” And thus, CinemaWins was made.

He’d orbited the Earth, gone on space walks and even flown to and orbited the moon. But he’d never left his footprint on that lunar surface.
The Positivity Found in the World Cup
I’ve been watching plenty of the knockout games in the World Cup this year, and I’ve found that, like many people, I’m quite keen on rooting for underdogs. And so, as we enter into the final game with powerhouses Spain and Argentina, I can say I’m a little disappointed that no underdog made it this far. Perhaps the biggest underdog in the whole tournament, however, was Cabo Verde. Let me set the scene: It was the Round of 32.
The Hawk
TV Series Review Lonnie “the Hawk” Hawkins was a big deal. Operative word: was. Back in 2010, Lonnie was professional golf’s undisputed star, standing atop the PGA’s worldwide golf rankings and winner of three of the sport’s four major tournaments. He would’ve had a fourth, too—which would’ve completed the fabled Grand Slam, joining such golfing greats as Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods—but a missed putt at California’s Pebble Beach ended his quest. And it practically ended his career, too.
