Thirty schools from Section 9 will be competing in 11-man football this season, plus Delaware Valley in Northeast Pennsylvania, and 10 schools in Eight-man football. The Section 9 season gets underway on Thursday, Sept. 3, with the regular season culminating in late October. The Section 9 playoffs begin Oct. 30-31 for Eight-man; the semifinals for all classes will be Nov. 6-7; the finals will be held Nov. 13-14 at Goshen (Class D and Eight-man) and Monroe-Woodbury.

Tim Hawkins, U.S. Central Command spokesperson, said in the statement the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz and that two launchers were struck.
