Search ArticlesSearching for New Natural Biocides of Microbial Origin with Efficacy Against Listeria monocytogenes Biofilms
You are already at the latest version Listeria monocytogenes is one of the main foodborne pathogens in terms of mortality. To reduce its presence in food production environments and increase the microbiological safety of food by identifying and developing new biocides, this work joins the methodology of HTS (High Throughput Screening) with the search for innovative applications of microbial natural products.
Dual Regulation of the Rice Yield Traits and Stress Resilience by OsHSP20 : Insights from Integrative Biochemical and Transcriptomic Analyses
You are already at the latest version Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a staple food crop globally, and identifying genes governing grain yield is critical for food security. Although heat shock proteins (HSPs) are known for their roles in stress tolerance, the molecular mechanisms by which they regulate yield formation remain unclear.
Variable-Mass Sine-Gordon with Point Defects: Integrability, Soliton Transmission, and Quasi-Conservation
You are already at the latest version We study integrable variable-mass sine-Gordon model (vmSG) with point defects. Using the Lax and B\"acklund-gauge formulations, we construct type-I and type-II defect matrices, derive the corresponding sewing conditions, and generate the bulk and defect contributions to an infinite hierarchy of conserved charges.
Influence of Supercritical CO₂ Extraction Conditions on the Physicochemical Properties, Oxidative Stability and Bioactivity of Omega-3-Enriched Tenebrio molitor Oil
You are already at the latest version This study investigated supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO₂) extraction of omega-3 (ω-3) enriched oil from Tenebrio molitor larvae reared on a flaxseed-supplemented diet, using Soxhlet extraction as a benchmark. Pressure was the principal factor governing oil recovery, with higher pressures increasing yield. Low-pressure extraction resulted in higher residual moisture and acid values and a lower refractive index, indicating greater hydrolytic deterioration.
The Child Lifestyle Ecosystem Framework (CLEF): An Integrative Ecological Framework for Understanding Childhood Lifestyle Behaviors and Health Across the Life Course
This version is not peer-reviewed. You are already at the latest version Healthy lifestyle behaviors established during childhood shape health trajectories across the lifespan. Although considerable evidence supports the benefits of physical activity, healthy eating, adequate sleep, and limited sedentary behavior, interventions targeting these behaviors often yield modest and short-term effects.
Effects of Anthropogenic Activity on Aboveground Biomass and Carbon Stock in Upland and Seasonally Flooded Forests in Sierra Del Divisor National Park, Perú
You are already at the latest version Tropical Amazonian forests serve as critical carbon reservoirs, although their storage capacity varies significantly depending on the topographic, hydrologic, and successional heterogeneity of the landscape.
Explaining Sustainable Private-Land Stewardship Outcomes: Drivers of Social-Ecological Misalignment in Fragmented Lands
You are already at the latest version Amenity migration and associated land-use changes are transforming working rangelands as new landowners with diverse stewardship objectives increasingly manage smaller, fragmented properties. Explanations of stewardship outcomes often emphasize individual knowledge and capacity while giving less attention to the broader social–ecological conditions affecting private-land sustainability.
Auditing Explanation Faithfulness in Privacy-Preserving Federated Intrusion Detection
This version is not peer-reviewed. You are already at the latest version Security operations centres (SOCs) face two simultaneous mandates: keep the network traffic they analyse private, and make their AI-based detectors explainable. These goals are usually assumed to be in tension, because in image and language models differential privacy (DP) is reported to degrade post-hoc explanations.
Resource-Efficient Model of an Offshore Platform Compressor Station for the Declining Production Period of a Gas-Condensate Field
You are already at the latest version Under conditions of gradual depletion of gas-condensate field reserves and declining well production rates, one of the key challenges in operating offshore production facilities is improving the energy efficiency and reliability of process equipment, particularly compressor stations used for gas gathering, treatment, and transportation.
Cultivation of Small Granular Flocs with Predominant Aerobic Denitrifiers and Formation of Densified Activated Sludge in a Sequencing Batch Reactor
You are already at the latest version Efficient simultaneous nitrification, denitrification, and phosphorus removal typically requires either separate tanks with oxic and anoxic conditions or aerobic granular sludge (AGS) with granules larger than 0.2 mm. In this study, we cultivated small granular flocs (50-100 µm) capable of simultaneous heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification (HN-AD) in a sequencing batch reactor.
