Amelia Earhart is forever connected to Purdue. Soon, she will forever be pictured in Lafayette through a mural project. Detroit-based muralist Zach Curtis said he hopes people who see the mural feel inspired to follow in Earhart’s legacy of pioneering equality in new fields. “The more I learned about (Earhart), the more I was inspired about her, and by the time the research portion of this project was done, I was super pumped to paint this,” Curtis said.

The stunned driver called police after he parked his car and spotted the snake slithering out of the headlight and across the hood.
