Despite a gritty effort court-wide, No. 52 Purdue men’s tennis (10-9, 2-8 Big Ten) came up short against No. 40 Washington (14-6, 6-4 Big Ten), falling 4-2 this past Friday. Even with the loss, sophomore Henrik Villanger found himself a personal victory, managing his first-ever ranked win. Villanger continued to shine at the No. 2 singles position, rallying for a hard-fought 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over No. 120 Dzianis Zharyn.

The week prior to spring break, the intramural basketball brackets come to a close for all tiers, giving the remaining competitors a special opportunity. Mackey Arena hosted all nine championship games, presenting the annual chance for novice Boilermakers to play on historic Keady Court. Of the nine teams, the Coed Salem Lions were one of three winning groups on Tuesday with a score of 83-68.

No. 54 Purdue men’s tennis (10-8, 2-7 Big Ten) secured its 10th victory of the season at home over No. 56 Indiana this weekend (10-10, 1-8 Big Ten). Junior Aleksa Krivokapic and sophomore Juan David Velasquez managed a 6-2 in their doubles match, however redshirt senior Daniel Labrador and freshman Nour Fathalla fell short and lost 4-6.
