Middle of the Air Poetry Competition

Middle of the Air celebrates poetry beyond the page, uniting poem and song in new ways while drawing on the rich history between these forms. Ellie Parnell - ABC Radio National
Ellie is a radio and podcast producer with a strong interest in music. With a background in law and environmental policy, Ellie fell in love with radio via hosting several specialist music programs at Radio Adelaide. She then moved to Gadigal Land and completed a Graduate Diploma in Radio at AFTRS. She’s been at the ABC since 2017 and has primarily worked on Radio National’s The Music Show, but in 2023 spent a year at Double J producing the flagship music documentary podcast The J Files.

Catherine Zengerer is a radio producer and presenter, MC and communications specialist. Currently producing Late Night Live with David Marr for ABC Radio National, Catherine has produced and presented live current affairs for over 15 years in Adelaide, Sydney and Hobart, both for the ABC and in the community radio sector.
Dr Preeya Alexander
As both a doctor and mum of two, Preeya is passionate about sharing accurate health information and empowering people to make informed decisions around their health. Preeya is a practicing general practitioner (GP) in metropolitan Melbourne and in 2015 was awarded the Richard Clinton Gutch medal for the highest overall score in general practice exams in the state of Victoria.
