Flint, Michigan natives King 810 have announced a brand new album. Not just any album either, but the thematic follow up to their breakthrough release La Petit Mort or a Conversation With God. The new album, La Grande Mort Or Silence Of God, is set for release on November 30th 2026. Ten years on from La Petit Mort, King 810 are revisiting many of the topics covered on that album, but also following a natural evolution in the subject matter.

Finnish modern metallers Blind Channel have returned, and they are dropping all of the news at once! After what the band are referring to as “a year and a half of deliberate silence”, Blind Channel are ready to set the wheels in motion once again with their new album Painstream, which is set for release on October 30th through Century Media Records.

Bristol natives downcast have been busy over the last few weeks. They’ve released not one but two new singles, and stylistically they are about as different as they could get. First up, falling to pieces is the most personal song the band have ever released. Written about frontman Liam Edwards‘ little brother passing away due to complications from alcoholism, this song will hit anyone who has lost someone hard, especially if it was in similar circumstances.

With our ears are still ringing from this year’s phenomenal 25th anniversary weekend. The organisers over at Bloodstock have wasted no time whatsoever in getting next year’s festival off to a flying start. Announcing all three headliners for Bloodstock 2027. As well as two dozen world class reasons to book yourself a ticket to Catton Hall next summer! Topping the bill on Friday there’s Danish occult metal legends, Mercyful Fate.

Get your battle jackets and viking horns at the ready, Bloodstock is back! Celebrating it’s twenty fifth year of bringing heavy metal to the masses. The festival is kicking off a mammoth four day line-up today at Catton Hall in Derbyshire. So, before we pack our bags and join the 20,000 strong horde of headbangers, here are our top ten bands that should definitely be on your watch list this weekend! 1. We’re back with our second installment of upcoming gigs and tours that hopefully make your bank account scream at you after buying a ticket. We’ve added a bunch of new shows for August and September as well as listings for October as well. Unfortunately, none of these bands will offer the opportunity to watch the show on a screen from the side of the stage for £60.

Over the years, 2000 Trees has developed a reputation for being a totally unique and utterly enchanting festival experience, with a consistently stacked and varied line-up, a distinctively inimitable stage set in a forest for huge names to cultivate sets that feel intimate and special and an incomparable feeling of community, and it comes as no surprise that 2026 was no different.

After a day’s break for some sightseeing following Friday nights fantastic perofrmance. As well as some hasty mortgage applications being made to cover our bills at the pop-up shop. We’ve returned, along with thousands of other Metallica fans, to London Stadium. Where, despite the blazing heat, we’re ready for round two of the bands no repeat weekend in the nation’s capital.

East London is ablaze with glorious sunshine and awash with black t-shirts as metallers aged 8 to 80 and beyond descend on Stratford. Their destination: The London Stadium to take in the first night of the Metallica M72 World Tour London double header. It is a Friday, and a relatively early start time, which means there is a sparse-ish but rapidly growing crowd in the door by the time Knocked Loose kick preceedings off at 5:30.

Following on from Thursday nights rather extensive festivities in District X (read our review here), it’s time for the first day proper of Download Festival 2026! After some horrible conditions until about 4pm Thursday, the Donington skies are filled with blue and glorious sunshine, so let’s get down to the action! From the way P.O.D. (8) burst onto the main stage you’d never think they’ve been going for 34 years. They have all the energy, power and excitement of bands half that age.
