Rolling Stone Australia is the Australian edition of the United States' Rolling Stone magazine devoted to music, politics, and popular culture, published monthly. The Australian version of Rolling Stone was initially published in 1970 as a supplement in Revolution magazine published by Monash University student Phillip Frazer. It was launched as a fully fledged magazine in 1972 by Frazer and was the longest surviving international edition of Rolling Stone until its last issue appeared in January 2018.
As of February 2019, Rolling Stone Australia returned with a digital platform published by The Brag Media, in an exclusive licensing deal with Rolling Stone owner Penske Media Corporation. Source

Australian Box Office: ‘Moana’ Debuts at No. 1
Disney’s live-action Moana has sailed straight to the top of the Australian box office. The film grossed $5.93 million for its opening weekend (Thursday, July 9th-Sunday, July 12th), beating out Toy Story 5 which grossed $5.11 million. The fifth instalment of the beloved Toy Story franchise had sat at the top for the past three weeks, with a new grossed total of $37.42 million. Minions & Monsters moved down to third with $3.74 million, while Evil Dead Burn debuted in fourth with $746,ooo.

Andy Bickers, Cold Chisel’s saxophonist for over 30 years, is confirmed to have passed away this week. The legendary Australian outfit confirmed Bickers passed on Friday morning after battling cancer. “Andy was our brother: an incredible musician and a great person to be out on the road or out on the town with,” the band said in a statement. “His valuable contribution onstage to songs like ‘Rising Sun,’ ‘Saturday Night,’ and ‘My Baby’ will be sorely missed.
