Local Review: Baby Giant — Why Am I
Baby Giant Why Am ILipsyncStreet: 06.13.2026Baby Giant = Kid Cudi + Larry JuneDespite being raised on folk music in the red-rock farmtowns of Utah, I’ve grown to appreciate the true talent and soul required to produce quality hip-hop and rap tracks. The Muffs live is widely recognized as a display of supreme entertainment.
Kinesphere - SLUG Magazine
I am watching a performance of modern dance. Can anybody even define that term anymore without dropping into the science, the belabored recall of names or the creators of specific movements that defined time in the art of dance? I’ve seen modern performances before, repeat creations, resurrected, but something always happens to magic once it’s been buried six feet under and dug up: it ossifies into wood.
Written in Blood: May 1997
Snapcase Progression Through Unlearning Victory Snapcase’s latest, Progression Through Unlearning, is 55% hard and 45% heavy. This is by far one of the best hardcore releases of the year. A strong emphasis on songwriting is evident during listening. That, as well as serious technical ability, will raise this band above many others. The disc doesn’t have any blazing guitar solos, though; that’s the only thing I can hear that is missing.
Salt Lake Film Society Summer Showdown: Pee-wee’s Big Adventure vs. The Mask
I think about that quote every time I go into a double feature, and it was very much on my mind as I entered Broadway Centre Cinemas last Friday night for Pee-wee's Big Adventure and The Mask. What could these films possibly have to say to one another? Image courtesy of Salt Lake Film Society.
