The Mets are activating infielder Mark Vientosoff of the 10-day IL. The Mets had a spot on the active roster after outfielder Luis Robert Jr. was claimed off waivers by Baltimore earlier in the day. Vientos suffered a fractured right hand on July 9 when he was hit by a pitch while facing Kansas City Royals righty Michael Wacha. Vientos began a rehab assignment on Aug. 21, and he's been on an absolute tear at the plate over the past week of so, hitting five home runs in his last four games.
