Ethereum-based fixed-rate lending market Term Finance's vaults were drained of about $8.5 million on Sunday after an unknown attacker exploited the protocol's governance system to move ether and stablecoins, according to blockchain security firms PeckShield and CertiK. "We are aware of a governance exploit impacting Term vaults," Term Labs said on X. The team said it would provide more detail after investigating. Term did not confirm the scale of the losses or identify the affected vaults.

Bitcoin and ether ETFs draw $2.6 billion in strongest inflow week since October, tripling volume
U.S. spot bitcoin and ether ETFs drew a combined $2.6 billion in net inflows last week, their strongest week since October 2025, according to The Block’s analysis of SoSoValue data. Spot bitcoin (BTC) ETFs logged $1.9 billion in net inflows, while spot ether ETFs drew $697.2 million. Both categories recorded their largest weekly inflows of 2026. The result reversed a combined $392.0 million outflow during the previous week, representing a week-over-week swing of about $3 billion.
Zcash hits eight-year high near $850 with futures volume near $10 billion amid Grayscale ETF push
Zcash’s ZEC (ZEC) has jumped more than 22% over the previous 24 hours to approximately $818.77 as of 1:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday, extending a weeklong rally amid Grayscale’s latest effort to convert its Zcash trust into an exchange-traded fund. Solana cuts mainnet slot time to 350 milliseconds in first step toward 200ms goal
Solana (SOL) saw a successful mainnet upgrade on Friday morning that cuts the network's target slot time to 350 milliseconds (ms), down 50 ms from its former target of 400 ms. A slot is the short period of time in which a designated validator can produce a block of transactions of Solana's blockchain. The change was the first step under SIMD-0525, a Solana upgrade proposal merged on May 14 that outlines a path to eventually cutting the target slot time to just 200 ms, half its longtime value.
Grayscale moves closer to launching first Zcash ETF in US with fresh amended SEC filing
Grayscale is inching closer to launching its Zcash (ZEC) exchange-traded fund, filing its fifth amendment with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. The proposed ETF would convert Grayscale's existing Zcash Trust, bringing the product closer to a spot ETF structure — and the first in the U.S. to directly track the privacy-related asset. In its latest amendment, Grayscale said the trust would be renamed The Zcash ETF.
BounceBit to sunset blockchain, migrate to BNB Chain after $3 million exploit
BounceBit will permanently shutter its standalone Layer 1 blockchain and migrate to BNB Chain after an attacker exploited an authorization flaw to steal roughly $3 million worth of its native BB tokens. The incident occurred between Wednesday and Thursday, according to a Friday update from the bitcoin restaking and crypto yield platform. The attacker transferred approximately 286.5 million BB from nine wallets before block production was eventually halted around 40 minutes later.
