Shortly after 10:15 a.m. today, detention staff at the Moore County Detention Center located 60-year-old Judith Gossett unresponsive in her cell during routine operations. Staff immediately initiated emergency protocols and provided medical aid until Moore County EMS arrived. Following a line of thunderstorms passing through Moore County, a series of power outages have been reported, primarily in the southern portion of the county.
