Gianluca Costantini is an Italian cartoonist, graphic journalist, and activist whose work focuses on human rights. He is the author of several graphic novels, including “Libya,” with journalist Francesca Mannocchi. His most recent books include “Zodiac,” created with Ai Weiwei; “Xi Jinping: The Silent Emperor”; and “Volodymyr Zelensky — The Voice of the People.” He is also the founder of Channel Draw.

من أمام ميناء برشلونة الإسباني بدأ تاريخ جديد لدور البحر في الصراعات، حيث احتشد آلاف المحتجّون امام الميناء، لمشاهدة سفن الاغاثية متجهةَّ إلى غزة، وليكونوا جزءًا من مشهدٍ يتشكّل فيه وعي جديد، الموانئ لم تعد مجرد بوابات للتجارة بل أصبحت ساحات اشتباك أخلاقي في زمن الإبادة، وفي طليعة هذا الاشتباك النقابات العمالية، خاصة نقابات واتحادات عمّال المرافئ والشحن في اسبانيا واليونان وإيطاليا والسويد وبلجيكا.

مع بدء الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران دخلت المنطقة مرحلة جديدة يظهر فيها مدى الصراع مع العدو الصهيوني، وحتمية المواجهة المستمرة مع الإمبريالية الأمريكية عبر العالم، خاصة الصراع الذي تعيشه منطقتنا منذ زرع المشروع الاستعماري الصهيوني في فلسطين. منذ عملية طوفان الأقصى، وتمدّد حرب الإبادة من غزة إلى لبنان واليمن وإيران، ظهر بوضوح أنّ العدوان الصهيوني المدعوم أميركيًا لا يقتصر على فلسطين، إنما يستهدف أيّ قوى مقاومة تواجه وترفض سيطرة إسرائيل على شعوب المنطقة ومستقبلها.

After three years of continuous war — a war that crept into the homes overlooking the Galilee, breached the depths of our fears, forced us from our homes time and again, claimed those we hold dearest, and destroyed houses, neighborhoods, and villages whole — our relationship with place has been transformed. Villages that we used to pass through without a second thought became battlefields, or rather stages for an epic heroism we had never witnessed before.
