By Hannah Yost, The Real WV Mystik Miller’s journey back to West Virginia — and her path to becoming a firefighter — are both worth spotlighting. Miller is the executive director of W.I.L.D. Institute, a nonprofit based in Minden, W.Va., that provides technical, medical, and educational training for professionals, first responders, and the public. Originally from Berkeley Springs, Miller said she couldn’t wait to leave West Virginia when she was younger.

PRESS RELEASE LEWISBURG, W.Va — To help raise money for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration in Lewisburg this coming year, there will be a Community Fish Fry from noon to 3 PM on Saturday, September the 19th at Dorie Miller Park, 401 Feamster Road. By WVWC Sports Buckhannon W. Va- West Virginia Wesleyan Football loses in a close battle against Shippensburg University in the rain. The 24-14 loss came late in the game with Shippensburg pulling away late in the fourth. The Bobcats were able to tie the game at 14 from a 23-yard touchdown pass from Liam McGuire to cap off a 59-yard drive. The Bobcat offense was able to put up 222 yards in total, with 90 on the ground and 132 in the air.

I find myself budgeting often, working odd jobs just to make ends meet, and saving just to afford things I might actually enjoy. Despite our current economic climate, there are still some things I always find myself splurging on. Good food is at the top of my list when it comes to spending. My taste buds refuse to settle for anything less than delicious.

BSU Sports Sailsbury, NC – Bluefield State University men’s and women’s cross country competed at the Blue Bear XC Invitational hosted by Livingstone College. Junior Nellie Ambriton led the way for the Big Blue, taking a 3rd place overall finish with a time of 17:59.5 to grab top individual points for the Big Blue. Jeremiah Wingfield and Sekou Coulibaly crossed the line at the same time with times of 21:31.3 to take 19th.
