To Be Transgender
It's really not easy to be transgender, There's little reward and even less splendor, Just social hate and judgement abounds, Where facts and truth and compassion dumbfounds, Republicans, conservatives and Christians alike, Cause hate and violence for trans people to spike, But they don't mind, they don't seem to care, About the harm they cause that can't compare, They cause the suicide rate among trans people to rise, And the fact they don't care should be no surprise, So it's all up to us...
Still Standing
At 48 I look back at my life and it's clear that the only reason I'm standing here with my Beeb and NuNu is because Jesus literally has saved me. From being a victim of multiple sexual assaults, drug addiction, domestic violence, jail, being diagnosed with HIV while in jail and pregnant in 1998, given ten years to live and still standing strong. All glory to God, still undetectable to HIV at over 20 years, it is by the Grace of God. I may have my bad days, but who doesn't?
One Hell of a Week
Have you ever been so depressed that you couldn't breathe? Like an elephant on your chest in a sauna? I just experienced that feeling this weekend, and I barely survived it honestly. It all started about 3-4 weeks ago when my insurance was stopped all of a sudden and I could no longer get my meds, any of them. It is a moment of visibility, joy, and freedom.

La vida no deja de hacer berrinches. Cuando creo que ya pasó o que estoy a punto de superar este reto, aparece otro que me vuelve a tirar al suelo. Muchas veces he tratado de encontrar un propósito.
I Choose to Be Kind to My Mind
I have not written or posted a blog for a while now. I have been struggling with lots of challenges that affect my mental health in many ways. Life just keeps throwing tantrums at me. When I think it is over or I am at the end of this challenge, yet another keeps punching me to the ground. I've tried many times to find purpose. I keep silent for many years because I truly do not know what to do or how to express my feelings other than crying in my quiet moments.
