HUBBARD -- Two men arrested on charges of the same crime in separate incidents involving persons they believed to be minors made court appearances Monday. Joseph Trader, 34, pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor attempted importuning, but also made an appearance on charges of importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in front of Girard Municipal Court Judge Jeffery Adler on Monday. Albert Klinesmith, 59, also made an appearance on a charge of importuning in front of Adler.

Local News Car show benefits Angels for Animals The 5th annual Cars Cats & Canines Car Show benefiting Angels for Animals in Canfield featured classic cars, muscle cars, street cars, custom builds and unique rides. WEATHERSFIELD – Since last spring, firefighters from Mahoning and Trumbull counties have been taking part in fire training at a home in Weathersfield that was burned to the ground over the weekend. McDonald fire Chief Fred Marcum said Sunday what made the training unique was it was a wood-framed geodesic house. “This was the last training we had at this house. We have been here since last spring meeting on Monday evenings training and today we will have a live fire to burn it down,” Marcum said.

YOUNGSTOWN -- A local landlord was arrested after police said he threatened a woman over a residency dispute. Online court records show that Michael K. Clark, 46, was arraigned Monday before Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Carla Baldwin, charged with one count of menacing, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. He pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for trial Oct. 26. A Youngstown police report states the officers caught Clark on police body camera Sunday, threatening a woman who lives in a house he owns.
