Landlord arrested in dispute with resident

YOUNGSTOWN -- A local landlord was arrested after police said he threatened a woman over a residency dispute. Online court records show that Michael K. Clark, 46, was arraigned Monday before Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Carla Baldwin, charged with one count of menacing, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. He pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for trial Oct. 26. A Youngstown police report states the officers caught Clark on police body camera Sunday, threatening a woman who lives in a house he owns.

BOARDMAN -- Township police officer Luke Greguolo wasn't sure what he was dealing with when he met a man who said he was seeing people who wanted to kill him. Fresh out of the academy and sworn in as an officer only in August, Greguolo remembers responding to the odd encounter with his training officer. "Luckily, we had a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) officer there, and he was able to calm the individual down and take him to the hospital," Greguolo said.

Different contractor named in Boardman theft allegation

BOARDMAN -- The contractor accused of taking money from a Boardman woman without completing the work is not the same man whose name and face have been plastered across local news lately. A report in Thursday's Vindicator outlines the complaints from an Applewood Acres resident who told police she paid a contractor $5,000 toward a $20,000 home-improvement project more than a year ago, but the work remains unfinished and the contractor has stopped responding to her.
