13 people arrested after being caught stealing $250K of chicken from semi-trailer, officials say
MEMPHIS (WMC/Gray News) - Authorities arrested 13 people after they were allegedly caught stealing $250k of chicken from a semi-trailer. According to a press release, Javunte Johnson, 33, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm; an arrest warrant was executed for him for aggravated robbery. Authorities found Johnson, along with 12 other people, unloading stolen pallets of chicken, valued at $250,000, from an 18-wheeler in the back parking lot of an Economy Inn.

Man sentenced in death of autistic adult son who starved before choking to death on feces
POTOSI, Mo. (First Alert 4/Gray News) - A Missouri man will spend a total of 17 years in prison after his malnourished older son, who had autism, choked to death while eating his own feces because of starvation, according to authorities. The Washington County Prosecutor’s Office said Lawrence Riehl, 62, was sentenced Monday for felony counts of first-degree involuntary manslaughter and second-degree domestic assault.
