Bus, in 1963. She was 95. Nel and Jack Bus emigrated from the Netherlands to Rochester, N.Y., in the 1950s.

The gala is scheduled from 4:30 to 11 p.m., beginning with a welcome reception at the convention center's Terrace Plaza. A foyer experience will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Pacific Gallery & Patio, with dinner and dancing scheduled from 7 to 11 p.m. in the Pacific Ballroom. The celebration will recognize an organization that has evolved alongside the wall and ceiling industry for more than a century.

The Raymond Group is celebrating its 90th anniversary, marking nine decades of growth from a modest Southern California lath and plaster contractor into one of the Western United States’ leading wall and ceiling contractors. Founded in 1936 by George M. Raymond, the company built its early reputation in lath and plaster. An important opportunity arrived in the 1940s, when Raymond secured plastering work for the City of Lakewood at one of the region’s first large-scale housing developments.
