Raymond Group Celebrates 90 Years of Building
The Raymond Group is celebrating its 90th anniversary, marking nine decades of growth from a modest Southern California lath and plaster contractor into one of the Western United States’ leading wall and ceiling contractors. Founded in 1936 by George M. Raymond, the company built its early reputation in lath and plaster. An important opportunity arrived in the 1940s, when Raymond secured plastering work for the City of Lakewood at one of the region’s first large-scale housing developments.
